Charity begins at home

I was reading 1 Tim 5:8 this morning and I saw charity begins at home worded very nicely.

“But if anyone does not provide for his OWN and especially for those of his household,he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever”
KJV calls it infidel.

Here’s my understanding;

One of the biggest failures in life is contributing more outside of your home than inside of your home.I know this because I’ve experience it.

You are NEVER better or greater than how much you can give,share and contribute at home that’s why the idiom goes CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.

I used to be one of those people that was kinder to people outside of my home when my home desperately needed kindness.
I failed to see because I was not emotionally mature and legacy-inclined.

BE KIND TO YOUR OWN FIRST THEN OTHERS SECOND.
That’s the right legacy!
