Progress is a process-Teach yourself to wait well for your harvest!

I have somehow slowly become one of those people who want instant gratification with certain areas of my life as opposed to delayed gratification. I have grown impatient with waiting for the results I want to see in certain areas of my life and I am learning to wait for results to show up as opposed to rushing them. I have had to remind myself very often in the last few days that progress is a process, that I can’t sow and expect to reap a harvest in the same day hence this post. SM can help us assume that the results people have was created overnight and we have to be mindful about watching and wishing we had the same or similar success as other people.

What I have learned this week however about the journey I’m on and how I can go through the progress process is that;

Having a positive attitude and perspective really helps.

I have to celebrate small wins and overcome setbacks.

It pays to take risks daily because it nurtures discipline.

Spontaneity is important in your day so do something new and different.

It’s important to be intentional about having fun and joy .

It pays to be intentional about being present in the moment.

Turning the noise of TV and SM off allows you to have the clarity and peace to be effective with your daily priorities.

Systems should be put in place to help you stay organised.e.g meal prepping,washing laundry in advance etc

You are intentional about not subscribing to continuous or ongoing payments as that is a commitment to losing money you have not even earned.

You travel to somewhere new or leave your room/house to get a fresh perspective.

That you do something you enjoy you every single day.

That you make time for your loved ones so they feel seen and heard while you journey.

Every little step or progress you make counts and you will see your efforts compound or grow with time.

View challenges and setbacks as opportunities to evolve and become a problem solver.

These are the things I am learning and implementing and hope it helps you too in your journey this year and beyond.

I will leave you with a quote by George Orwell.
